Ordinal Numbers
Many of the ordinal numbers are followed by the suffix -ième. If the cardinal number ends in a mute "e", the "e" is dropped before adding the suffix -ième. Of course, there are exceptions: premier, première (1st), cinquième (fifth), neuvième (9th)
