Y12 induction - modal verbs

These verbs work with another verb in the infinitive (at the end of the clause) as you will well know. Eg: Ich mag Deutsch lernen! This structure does not change in the pst/imperfect tense. One day in the future you might look back with fondness (!) and say 'Ich mochte Deutsch mit Herr Rushworth und Herr Elmes lernen'
Unlike most verbs, these verbs are the same in the 3rd person (he/she) as they are in the 1st person (I).
