| Baucis | A woman who allowed Zeus and Hermes to stay in her home while they were disguised. As a result of her and her husband's hospitality, they were spared when Zeus flooded their town. Zeus also allowed them to die together. When they died Zeus turned them into a intertwined oak and linden tree. |
| Philemon | The husband of Baucis. Allowed Zeus and Hermès to stay with them. Showed the gods hospitality when the other people in the village didn’t which caused Zeus to destroy the village. |

| Hyacinth | Spartan prince & lover of Apollo. Died from a discus to the head. Apollo forbade Hades from claiming his soul, and instead turned Hyacinth into a flower. |
| Atalanta | A virgin huntress. Left by her father, then was suckled by a bear, and then raised by hunters. She would marry on the condition that the suitor beat her in a race. A suitor evantually won because of Aphrodite, but forgot to honor the goddess, so Aphrodite cursed them. As a result they made love in Zeus's temple. Zeus responded by turning them into lions. |
