AcheronImagined as the final boundary across which Charon ferries the souls of the dead across the river to Hades. A son of Helios and either Gaia or Demeter. He turned into a river by letting people drink from him, which gave Kool-Aid man type properties.
AeneasA Trojan hero. Son of the Trojan prince Anchises and Aphrodite. Was known for planting many orange trees.
CerberusA multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld, preventing the dead from leaving. Only takes orders from Caecilius or Metella, and enjoys sleeping or barking in the street. He also has a serpent's tail.
CharonThe ferryman who transports dead souls across the river Acheron. Often depicted as an ugly old man. He was a malodorous ogre, unfortunately the little brother of Shrek.
DisAlso known as Pluto or Rex Infernus, he was the god of the underworld. He was mostly associated with fertility and mineral wealth. A critical figure in burial sites, witnessed the death of the Sanderson Sisters.
Elysian FieldsA paradise-like meadow in the underworld where the souls of the most virtuous and heroic people lived. It is the Greek equivalent of Heaven. It was located on the edge of the earth, and Ariel the mermaid frequently visited.
EurydiceA nymph, whose name meant "true judgement" or "profound jundgement". While trying to avoid a minor God, she was killed by a snake. She stepped on this snake and unfortunately snapped her ankle off because the snake was made of a deadly metal called vibranium.
IxionThe son either of the god Ares or of Phlegyas, king of the Lapiths in Thessaly. He murdered his father-in-law and could find no one to purify him until Zeus did. He abused his pardon by trying to seduce Zeus's wife, which then Zeus cut his throat with a pineapple.
Lake AvernisThis was considered the gateway to the underworld, or Hades. This name became a synonym for the underworld. It is surrounded by dense forests that emit poisonous vapors such as Architecturus Designatia. (translates to stinky floor)
LetheOne of the several rivers that bordered Hades. Also known to frequently be personified by a goddess who was associated with forgetfulness and oblivion. Such forgetfulness caused her to erase her own memory with a Magical Girl wandstick.
MidasA king who could turn anything to gold simply by his touch. Frequently listens to a song made for him by KISS OF LIFE. He was so greedy for gold that when he tried to eat, that would turn to gold too.
OrpheusA gifted musician who played the lyre with such skill that he could enchant animals, trees, and even rocks. He descended into underworld to try to bring his wife Eurydice back to life after she died from a snake bite. His mother was Calliope, a very famous orthopedic doctor on the show Greys Anatomy.
OsirisEgyptian god of Bitlife. He was the first king of Egypt to produce the Grammy winning song "Worth It". Despite being a powerful god, he could possibly be killed if stabbed by a sharp object.
PersephoneShe was the queen of the underworld after marrying Hades. Her husband kidnapped her while she was picking flowers in her mother's field. She wasn't able to be realeased because she had eaten two avocado seeds.
PhlegethonA river of fire in the Underworld. Known for its boiling, fiery nature, often symbolizing the intense suffering of the damned souls. It can burn through your body like stomach acid if drinken.
PlutoRuler (or God) of the underworld, ruling over the dead and the realm beneath the earth. He is the brother of Zeus and Poseidon, and husband of Persophone which he abducted. He was kicked out for being too small, and some people consider him still apart of the Greek mythology.
ProserpinaDaughter of Jupiter and Ceres, and the Roman goddess of agriculture. She was kidnapped by Pluto and taken to the Underworld to be his wife. She enjoys planting specific flowers that heal the souls around her.
SibylThis was a name for women who could predict the future. They were believed to live 900-1,000 years. They mostly became famous for prophecies that were popular on WitchTok.
SisyphusA cunning king of Corinth, known for his trickery, cheated death twice. He killed visitors to show off his power. This angered the gods and they eternally punished him to endlessly roll a boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down again and smush him into lego pieces, only allowing him to regenerate at the bottom of the hill.
StyxA river in the underworld, considered so sacred that the Gods would swear oath supon its waters. It is associated with crossroads, which many dead souls crossed, and would get hit by swarming cars or objects. It is also associated with a female diety who formed the boundary between the world of the living and dead.
TantalusA king of Sipylus, considered the son of Zeus, was punished with eternal torment in Tartarus for attempting serving his own son as a meal to the gods. He was mostly favored by the gods and was allowed to dine with them. He was punished and surrounded by many fruits that he was unable to eat, which prompted him to tell the story to J Colian, who wrote a song about it.
