will be on the back of the card and the reading skill will be on the front. Students will say the word,and then try to give meaning before looking.

CompareTo tell how two things are alike.
ContrastTo tell how two things are different.

AntonymsWords that have opposite meanings.
HomonymsWords that sound alike, but have different meaninds.
homographsWords that are found in the dictionary more than one time, with small numbers located at their heads. The words have different meanings.
EtymologyThe history of a word. Where the word came from.
Entry WordThe word that are being looked up, in the dictionary.
Root WordThe word itself, before anything is added to it.
Guide WordsThe two words found at the top of the dictionary page.
