This will help you keep these deities straight. You will need to know both the function ofthe deity and the culture from which he/she/it comes. Note that there may be overlap in the functions of gods/goddesses. Both Artemis and Selene, for example, are associated with the moon by the Greeks, but only Artemis is also associated with the hunt.
