How do I take an Online Class?

If you are NEW to taking courses online, then THIS is the Class for YOU!

Follow these instructions to help you in learning just how to begin, follow through and complete your classes.

STEP 1:

Read all of the directions on the FIRST page of the course, just like THIS ONE.  You will want to LOOK ;    at EVERYTHING on the page...TAKE YOUR TIME. (Example: Do you see the "Activities" listed below?)

STEP 2: 

You will want to SIGN UP as a New Student so that your assignments can be GRADED.  You CAN just click on any activity and play without signing up/in, HOWEVER; your teacher will be unable to see how you did since your activity will be lacking a NAME.  For example, Click on one of the EXTRA ACTIVITIES listed below. Play your choice of game. 

So, BEFORE you begin with Assignment 1, follow the instructions for SIGNING UP with Quia as a New Student. (There is no cost.) If you have not received this from the teacher, please email her at: amdkidscourses@aol.com

Be sure to WRITE DOWN your User Name and Password you choose.     

STEP 3:

Once you have looked at EVERYTHING on the First Page and completed at least ONE EXTRA ACTIVITY, begin with Lesson #1. You will want to READ and REVIEW all pages and parts to each Lesson, including any weblinks, files or documents that are attached and referred to.

STEP 4:

Once you have completed the LESSON, you will then proceed to the ASSIGNMENT that goes along with (corresponds with) that Lesson.

NOW - Go to the TOP link below under USEFUL LINKS "http://www.quia.com/pages/howtolesson1" and CLICK on it (ENTER on your keypad or left button on the mouse).

You will be directed BACK to this HOME page when you are done. You will follow this up with Assignment 1 under ACTIVITIES. Each Lesson and assignment is to be completed IN ORDER.
