Welcome to eighth grade English class. English is an important subject to elevate your written and spoken language. Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all focus areas of concentration. The curriculum is literature based and it is utilized as a pivotal point to improve writing, speaking, and listening.
We are currently reading the novel, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. There is a scheduled chapter quiz on chapters 4-6 on May 7th.
The unit test is scheduled for May 15th.
Review for chapter quiz on 4-6:
Chapter 4 - review the scene in Crook's barn room. Be sure to go over all the characters involved and what each contributed to the conversation.
Chapter 5- review the barn scene after Lennie kills the pup and Curlye's wife comes in.
Chapter 6- review the end of the novel and the conversations about Lennie's death.
