OBJECTIVES-

Before continuing on to AP Spanish in August, you will need to have an accurate command of Spanish grammar, continue to develop listening and reading skills, and review/learn Hispanic cultural information, as well as familiarize yourself with the course themes (temas curriculares).

SUMMER ASSIGNMENT-

Each week, ideally, (although you are free to complete the assignments at a time which best suits your summer schedule), you will be assigned to complete a lesson page.  There are a total of NINE lesson pages, frequently with exit tickets and Yabla assignments as a part of the lesson. They are all due by the first day that class is in session, so that ideally you will complete one each week, but can have the flexibility of adjusting when you complete them according to your summer schedule.

Each Yabla activity is worth two points.
Exit ticket points will vary by topic and length of exit ticket.
Again, all are due by the first day of classes in August.
Credit will be awarded for the summer work at that time and not before.

All summer Yabla activities and lesson exit tickets are due by the first day of regular classes in August and will be counted in your first quarter average.  They are a great way to review the needed information before classes begin and help 'pad' your first quarter average.

Late work-Assignments completed after the first day of classes but within the first two weeks that classes resume will be awarded partial credit.
Failure to complete the summer assignment is not an acceptable reason for dropping the course.

HONOR CODE-

University students are often required to sign an honor pledge stating that they understand that they are to do their own work and not copy from each other or use non-permitted resources.  As a member of a college-equivalent course, the same expectation of integrity and honor is a condition of participation in your AP Spanish Language and Culture class.  Do your own work.
