Welcome to Financial Accounting! Below are the files and the YouTube videos you need for the course. The course content is based on the syllabus for ACCA paper F3/FFA. You should familiarize yourself with the ACCA F3 website (link at bottom of page), particularly the F3 syllabus and the technical articles.

Our content provider is OpenTuition, and you should familiarize yourself with the materials and resources available at the OpenTuition F3 website (link at bottom of page). The lecture notes are the course textbook and the lectures are youtube videos explaining the lecture notes, and the practice questions are short quizzes which provide you with feedback on your understanding of the material. I will assign self-study material and in-class material based on the difficulty level of the content.

SELF-STUDY VIDEOS
The videos included in Useful links cover the following topics:

VIDEO 1: Chs. 1-3 in the OpenTuition F3 lecture notes; a review of the accounting cycle prepared for participants in the Hargeisa Accountancy Boot Camp. This is basic information but if you have not worked with accounting recently it will be a valuable review.

VIDEO SERIES 2: Statement of cash flows (OpenTuition Ch. 14); video one covers the indirect method and video 2 covers the direct method of preparing the statement of cash flows.

VIDEO SERIES 3: Consolidation accounting (OpenTuition Ch.s 22-25); videos 1/2/3 cover consolidation accounting and the statement of financial position; videos 4/5 cover consolidation accounting and the statement of profit and loss.

VIDEO 4: Ratio analysis, including liquidity, leverage, profitability, and investor ratios.
