About me
¡Saludos!
Hello Parents and students!

Policies:

Study!  You will have very little homework to take home but you will be expected to study every night and to practice Spanish in real life.

Absences/Late Work...................................................................................
When students are absent they are responsible for getting their missed assignments and for showing up to take missed tests and quizzes in a timely fashion.

Students have the number of days they were gone plus one to make up any missed work.  For example, if Johnny is absent on Monday, then he has Tuesday and Wednesday to make up and turn in any missed assignments.

When students are gone for ISS (internal suspension), sports or extracurricular activities they are not considered absent.  They should get their assignments ahead of time and turn them in the same day they are gone from class.  If they miss a test due to ISS, sports or extracurricular activities, they must make up the test either ahead of time or before or after school on the day of the test.

This means that if Johnny has a baseball game in Geneseo (or ISS, or a fieldtrip) and misses class on Tuesday, he must come in on Tuesday morning and make up the test.  He should also get Tuesday's homework on Monday so that he can turn it in on Tuesday morning.

Come to class prepared.......................................................................>>
Students are expected to come to class with their assignments, notebooks, books, etc. and will not be allowed to go to their lockers for forgotten items.  Homework will not be accepted late because it was lost/forgotten, etc.

Passwords=============================================
If students lose or forget their password they must put $.25 in the contraseña jar.  The class with the FEWEST forgotten passwords will win a fiesta using the contents of the jar.

Internet/computer  translators+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Using instant translators to translate blocks of text to Spanish and then representing it as one's own work is cheating and will result in a zero on the assignment and a referral.  Because words often have more than one meaning, instant translators produce bizzarre sentences that do not make sense.

Any questions?  E-mail me.  If there is something else you would like to see posted or updated I will work on it right away.
