I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Career & Technology Education. I graduated from the University of North Carolina with degrees in Music and Business.
Degrees: Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Music Education (BMe)
I played professionally with orchestras in Greensboro and Winston-Salem (NC), Roanoke (VA), and Myrtle Beach (SC); performed with Isaac Hayes’ “Tour America” and Peggy Fleming’s “Ice Capades.”
I served as Marketing Director for the Waccamaw Corporation’s retail division, and managed the Myrtle Beach Hotel & Motel Association before teaching Hospitality & Tourism at Garrett Academy of Technology. I have taught for 27 years but I have worked in the area in which I teach for 16 years, so I have 43 years’ experience.
