An antecedent is the word that a particular pronoun refers back to.A pronoun must agree with its antecedent in number and gender. Choose the correct pronoun in the sentences below. Remember that if a singular indefinite pronoun is an antecedent, the other pronoun must also be singular. Example: EACH student has HIS OR HER own special problems. Singular indefinite pronouns: each, either, neither, any, one, everyone, everybody, no one, nobody, anyone, anybody, someone, somebody.
