Conflicts in the Middle East

Since the creation of Israel by the United Nations in 1948 there has been tension and war between the Arab countries and Israel. Although the Palestinians were promised their share of land in the beginning, it was lost when the Arab countries attacked Israel on the very first day after Israel declared itself a nation.
