Figurative Language Rags to Riches for December 10th
Similes make comparisons using "Like" or "As". Onomatopoeias are sounds that spelled out as words. Examples include purr, owww, chomp, slosh, vroom, achoo, and thump. Alliterations are tongue twisters and sentences that use the same SOUNDS at the beginning on multiple words. For example: Peter Picked a lot of Pickels while Patrolling the Perimeter of the garden.
