Emotional Clues in Writing

Good writers express emotions and reactions when they write about personal experiences, such as a personal narrative. They usually show, rather than come out and tell, their feelings. If you do a good enough job setting your context, your reader will be able to infer your feeling or reaction to events you write about, and you won’t have to say, “I was scared” or “I was happy.” See if you can pick the emotion expressed in the following sentences.
