_____Lyle’s soccer team was playing an important game at 2 o’clock today. It was the last game of the season, and the winning team would be the city champions! Lyle’s team was pretty good, and he believed they would probably win. He had scored three points for the team during the last game, and he hoped to do even better this week. At one o’clock, Lyle started to get ready. He did not want to be late for this game! He put on his uniform, socks, and pads. He reached for his soccer shoes, but they weren’t there! Lyle suddenly remembered he had left them in Jack’s car after the last practice. He could not play without the proper shoes. Jack was probably on his way to the game by now. What was Lyle going to do?
