4th Grade Reading Comprehension (Set 4) - Park

_____Every day, Karen went to the park to eat her lunch. There was a bench hidden beyond a group of small trees, and Karen found it to be a peaceful and quiet place. Not many people came to that end of the park, except on old lady who wore the same torn sweater every day. She brought seed and would feed the pigeons. Karen had never spoken to the lady, but she liked to watch her feed the birds. The pigeons would gather around the woman as she tossed out seeds. Some of the birds would sit on her hand. The old woman always looked so happy when the birds came to her. One day while Karen was eating lunch, the old woman held out a bag of seed and said, “Would you care to help me feed the birds today?”
