4th Grade Reading Comprehension (Set 6) - Camping

_____It was a warm summer night. Ricky was camping in the back yard with his friend, Henry. The two boys were looking at the stars through Ricky’s telescope. Suddenly Henry jumped. “Did you see that?” he asked, pointing to the sky. Ricky shook his head. “There was a falling star over there,” said Henry. “Look! There goes another one!” Soon the night was full of bright lights streaking across the sky. The boys stood with their heads tilted and their mouths open. It was a splendid show of lights.
_____One of the lights grew brighter than the rest. It looked as if it might land right in the back yard. Thump? It hit the ground behind the garage. Henry and Ricky got their flashlights and began to look. Henry held up a meteor about the size of a quarter. “Hey,” he cried, “we have a star from Mars!”
