Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Types of Sentences Edition
Identify each sentence as complete, run-on, or a fragment. If you need to refresh your memory, read the definitions below before starting the game. (Remember to click the "hint" button if you need a hint.) A complete sentence conveys a complete idea. A run-on sentence contains more than one complete idea. Example: The trip was terrible the car broke down twice and we had to have it towed. Corrected: The trip was terrible. The car broke down and it had to be towed.) A sentence fragment does not contain a complete idea. Example: Walking, running and swimming. Corrected: Walking, running or swimming are great ways to exercise.
