Edible Endings

EAT and ATE keep turning up in lots of words. Maybe it's because, as language developed, people were always thinking about their favorite pastime- eating. These two endings finish off many good words- like dessert finishes off a good meal. Trouble is, people often get them mixed up. Every one of these words can be completed with EAT or ATE.
