Sometimes words break rules, and you have to remember Which ones are rule breakers. Get to know the rule breakers below. First read the rules and then decide which rule each word breaks. A) When a word ends in a silent E and has one consonant following a vowel before that silent E, do not drop the silent E when adding a suffix that begins with a consonant. B) Most plurals are formed by adding S, adding ES, changin Y to I and adding ES, or changing F to V and adding ES.
