Mandatos formales - Afirmativos y negativos Formal commands = Usted or Ustedes - affirmative and negative Use the "Yo" form in Present tense. Switch to the opposite ending -ar verbs: Hablar = hablo = hable/hablen. -er & -ir verbs: Beber = bebo = beba/beban Exceptions are: haya, vaya, sea, sepa, de, este haber, ir , ser, saber, dar, estar To tell someone you address as USTED/USTEDES to do something, use formal commands. To form them do the following: You take the present tense YO form and replace the final "O" of the YO form with an "E/EN" for -AR verbs and "A/AN" for -ER and -IR verbs. Example: Hablar = hablo = hable/hablen Tener = tengo = tenga/tengan Escribir = escribo = escriba/escriban
