Place Value is value a given number has in larger number: For example: in the 5,820,305 the order of place value is millions, hundred thousands, ten thousands, thousands, hundreds, tens, ones. You also have place value in decimals. For example in the number: .0758 the place value is tenths, hundreths, thousandths, ten thousandths. Expanded Form: is the number x its place value. For example in the number: 5, 820,305 the expanded form is (5 x 1,000,000) + (8 x 100,000) + (2 x 10,000) + (3 x 100) + (5 x 1). Word Form would be: five million, eight hundred twenty thousand, three hundred five.
