“Where the Red Fern Grows” was about a boy named Billy Colman and his hounds, Little Ann and Old Dan becoming great hunters. In the book, Billy wants hunting dogs, bad. Eventually he ends up saving enough money to buy two hounds. They hunted almost every night during hunting season. Eventually they became good enough to go to a championship coon hunt. But during the contest a terrible storm hits. What will happen? Will they win? Will they make it home safely?
