Find the antecedent

An antecedent is a word, phrase, or clause that comes before a pronoun. The pronoun then refers to this antecedent.
Examples: Word--Johnny is a good friend. He compliments people. The pronoun he refers to the antecedent "Johnny."
Phrase: John spent all night making pasta. It tired him out. The pronoun it refers to the antecedent "making pasta."
