  1. Did you schedule for Spanish II next year? Read all the choices before choosing.
    Yes. I signed up for Spanish II for next school year. I get pretty good grades, remember things from previous lessons to use, and usually know what I'm doing.
    Yes. I signed up for Spanish II, but my grade needs to improve somewhat before I go on and I am going to give it my best effort this semester so that I am ready to go on. I know that extra help is available and I will talk to Mrs. Theis if I would like that.
    No, I signed up for Spanish I again for next year. I need more experience and practice before I'm ready to go on to Spanish II. If I do this, both Spanish I grades do show up on my high school transcript and I will be more comfortable in Spanish II in the future.
    No, I signed up for a different foreign language for next year.
    No, I really struggled this year and am sitting out of foreign languages for next year. I know that I have the option to re-take Spanish I again sometime in the future if I wish.

  1. What is the highest level of Spanish you plan to take while at Shawnee?
    (The more you take, the higher you score on your college's Spanish placement test= the more college classes you 'test out of'.)
    Spanish V-AP Spanish (The fifth year of study, I will have the optional opportunity to earn the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy and several free hours of semester credit at universities by doing well on the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam.)
    Spanish IV.
    Spanish III
    Spanish II
    Spanish I- this is it for me for now. My goal is to pass the course and earn a credit for this year.


  1. Be honest :-) About how long on average do you actually spend on Spanish OUTSIDE of the actual class period each day, NOT COUNTING REMOTE FRIDAYS? (studying, doing homework, etc.) Remember, do NOT count remote Fridays.
    Nothing. I only work on Spanish in the classroom during the class period.
    Almost nothing. Up to 5 minutes a day, maybe.
    A little. 6-10 minutes a day, probably.
    Moderate. About 15- 20 minutes a day.
    A lot. I spend a half hour or more on Spanish pretty much every single day.
