Black Belt Academy of Surgical Skills - Gradings

Surgery is an essential part of health care and should be a component of any effective national health system in countries at all levels of development. Basic skills are fundamental not because they are easy, but because they form the foundation of the complex craft of surgery. However, these skills are often overshadowed by digital advancements and robotics.
Lord Berkley Moynihan stated that ‘infinite gentleness, scrupulous care, light handling, and purposeful, effective movements are necessary for a high-quality operation’. Ergonomics, feel, and mindset are crucial yet often overlooked aspects of surgical instruction. Access, affordability, reproducibility, sustainability, and the structure of surgical training, especially in low to middle-income countries, present significant challenges. BBASS aims to challenge the current transactional models of delivery and focuses on the principles of deliberate, purposeful practice with incremental development within a transformative process.
We would be grateful if you would take a moment to offer feedback on the program and you graduation
