Scholarship Calendar

A calendar of deadline dates for various scholarships, contests and other student opportunities is in the process of being completed and a link to that calendar will be provided as soon as possible. This calendar will be available online and will be updated as frequently as possible. Deadline dates will be included in the calendar but these dates frequently change and changes may or may not be recorded. It is the responsibility of the student to individually confirm the deadline date for a specific scholarship, contest or other opportunity.

The entries that will be included in the calendar are only a sampling of the scholarships available. They are not intended to be a complete listing of available information and students need to search out as many scholarship sources and other opportunities as possible.

Specific Contests and Opportunities

Contests and other Opportunities in which students can become involved are usually announced on Mondays and Fridays as part of the school announcements and can also, in most cases, be viewed on the school monitors.

Information about some specific, re-occurring opportunities is listed below:

Encounters with Canada - This is a week long opportunity for students to explore one of 12 or more themes at the Terry Fox Centre and other locations in Ottawa. The week long themes are presented at various times throughout the school year and a limited number of students can participate. This is a highly worthwhile opportunity for any student who can take advantage of it. For more information click on the link to Encounters With Canada or speak to Mr. Pocock.

As each school receives a limited number of placements, registration of students is initially processed through the school. Students are invited to complete the in-school application form in order to be considered for one of the available spaces. This form can be found by following the link to Encounters With Canada - School Nomination Form.
