Cosmic spiritual warfare is a confrontation with high-ranking principalities and powers such as what Paul writes about in Ephesians 6:12. These enemy forces are frequently called 'territorial spirits' because they attempt to keep large numbers of humans captive in cities, nations, neighborhoods, groups, religious allegiance, industries or any other form of human society.
The word "cosmic" means "world." Therefore, cosmic spiritual warfare involves more than one individual. It involves groups of any kind.
Spiritual warfare encompasses three dimensions.
1. The first is ground level. At this level, you battle with individual sin and the result that involves your personal demons to keep you from being healed, at peace or even obtaining those things you want. It is at this level that Satan blocks you and brings curses on you that have been caused by the sin you are committing.
2. The second level is the mid-range. At this level, you fight against curses caused by doors that have been opened by your involvement in the occult. This could include your connections to witches and warlocks, casting spells, charms, vexes, and hexes.
3. The third level is cosmic. At this level, you go into war with demonic forces within ethnic groups, territories, governments, and the world. Cosmic means the entire world. It is not limited to your local community, state, or nation. It is the entire universe including the atmosphere.
Cosmic spiritual warfare is a high-level spiritual warfare confrontation that seeks to determine the allegiance of communities of people. These communities can be made up of any gathering of people who share a common bond.
Such communities, for example, may include families, neighborhoods, cities, nations, groups, professions (such as farmers, pastors, prostitutes, etc.), age groups (such as teens), congregations, denominations or any other segment of human society. Remember, members of individual within groups have something in common. That's why it is so important to be mindful of which clubs or organizations you jump into.
Sometimes these communities are confined to geographical areas, while at other times they may span over different geographical areas.
To summarize:
Level One: You fight a spiritual battle because of your own personal sins that affect you.
Level Two: You fight a spiritual battle because of doors opened by personal involvement in the occults and related things.
Level Three: You go to war with demonic forces involved in the world with others through groups, clubs, and organizations.
