Spiritual Warfare - Personal Strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses (strongholds). We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. A stronghold is anything that keeps a person in bondage. If you look at the word, it is made up of "strong" and "hold." Therefore, it is safe to say that a stronghold is anything that has a strong hold on you. A stronghold is an area of darkness within our mind or personality that causes ongoing spiritual, emotional and/or behavioral problems. A stronghold is a lie Satan tells us to keep us from having peace of mind. Here is a list of things that bring on personal strongholds.
