Conversation Tags

NOTE: Requirements for Conversation Tags differ depending on whether or not you are in Spanish 1 or Spanish Culture and Conversation. Spanish 1 students should be engaging in conversation, preferably with a native speaker, and both listening and speaking for the designated time. Conversation and Culture students are encouraged to seek out resources, mainly for listening, at this point. Culture and Conversation students may work on speaking like Spanish 1 students but they also have the option listen to Spanish radio or Spanish television while Spanish 1 students may not. Please make sure you review the required time for you (or your child's) specific class.

Homework Policy *PLEASE READ*

• Homework and classwork is to be turned in on the day it is due in class at the beginning of class (unless otherwise directed).
• Late work will be accepted up to 1 week after a due date for an excused absence and must be turned in with a note from a parent for full credit. Without a parent note, work will be accepted until a week after the due date for up to half credit.
• Homework should be in blue or black ink and neatly handwritten or typed.
• Assignments and projects that cannot be turned in (oral presentations, in-class participation points, etc.) cannot be made up. Students will be responsible for arranging an alternate assignment with Ms. Zigler.
• ALL late work must be turned in with a completed green Late Work Ticket. Tickets are available in Ms. Zigler's classroom.

Monday 11/16

• 6th Grade Span 1
  1. You will be getting your quizzes back on Thursday. Please make sure you come with questions about anything that was unfamiliar or confusing on the quiz. You should be starting to look over and review your notes and homework from Chapter 1 as our test will be coming up soon.
• 7th Grade Span 1
  1. Finish note for Chapter 3 Tercer Paso (on back side of page used for sections 3.1 -Primer Paso, and 3.2- Segundo Paso). You will use this as a study guide and it will be turned in on THURSDAY 11/19 before the test.
  2. Chapter 3 Test, part 1 is this THURSDAY 11/19. Please come prepared!
• 8th Grade Span 1
  1. Finish Worksheet 6.1 (Primer Paso on La Familia). DUE THURSDAY 11/19. This will be the last assignment in this Trimester's grade. I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS ASSIGNMENT LATE. You turn it in on Thursday or not at all.

  1. We will be playing Stump Wars on Friday so please make sure you review the handout and worksheet on greetings, introductions and goodbyes we have been using. You need to know and be able to use the vocabulary and expressions for Fridays game without having any handouts or notes in front of you. Please study wisely!

Thursday 11/19

• 6th Grade Span 1
  1. Review material from Chapter 1. We will be taking the Chapter 1 test when we come back from Thanksgiving break and you don't want to forget it!
• 7th Grade Span 1
  1. We will be taking part 2 of our Chapter 3 Test on MONDAY 11/23. Please use your notes, the list of specific topics I gave in class today, your homework, your textbook, quizzes and any other material from Chapter 3 to review. After taking part 1 today, you should know what you need to brush up on to be ready for the writing portion of the test.
• 8th Grade Span 1
  1. Ex. 9 with a partner. Please write out the questions and responses in complete sentences. Ex. 12 on your own. Use the verbs you know and the information provided in the book to complete the answers. Please write out the complete sentence(s) on your homework.
