About me |
I am in my thirteenth year as an instructor at The Lukeion Project. Previously, I have taught at Miami Valley Christian Academy and the University of Cincinnati. I received my undergraduate degree in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin) from Franklin and Marshall College and then went on to earn an M.A. in Bronze Age Archaeology and a Ph.D. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati. I spent my Junior Year abroad in Greece at College Year in Athens where I traveled the country extensively, learning modern Greek and seeing the ancient sites and antiquities. While there, I worked in the Athenian Agora inventorying ancient architecture and sculpture. During my graduate school years at the University of Cincinnati I excavated at the Mycenaean citadel of Midea and at Homer's Troy in western Turkey and published pottery from both sites. I still make my home in Cincinnati with my husband and two psychotic cats. |
