Technosphere
We will look toward the future through the wisdom of the past!

Our Goals and Objectives
Technology: the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.
The technosphere group has done many activities the past two weeks. Each student made their own web page on an environmental issue of their choice.

We made tie-dye shirts for our "Back to the Future" theme.
We visisted the Winchester Star on Tuesday, the 24th, to observe how the newspapers are made.
On Wednesday, everyone in BREGS took a 7 mile canoe trip down the Shenandoah River.
Then, we made Happy Thought Jars for the elderly and visited them in the Greenfield Senior Living home on the 26th.
On Friday, our group went to Washington, D.C. to visit the Newseum. We saw how news has affected the world.

For our community service project, the entire Blue Ridge Governor's School worked at the Volunteer farm. We picked turnips, weeded onions, and spread mulch.
We visited Channel 3 News on Tuesday, July 1st, to see the equipment used for weather and filming. Each of us got to use the green screen and pretend to forecast the weather.
