(Week of November 23, 2009)
Dear 4th grade families,
"CHILDREN HAVE MORE NEED OF MODELS THAN OF CRITICS."
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, dear 4th grade families! This is the time of the year when we all have to reflect upon the many blessings we have received for the past year. We give thanks for the gift of life and creation, for the opportunities to love and care for our children and family, for the opportunity to serve God and others in our communities.
Let me take this moment to THANK YOU, dear parents, for being the strong ANCHOR for your children's learning experiences. THANK YOU for taking the lead/participating in the school's fund-raisers (Mrs. Scharberg), for taking part in the varied school wide activities, for volunteering in the classroom (Mrs. Cervantes), for the Gardening Project (Mr.
Scharberg), for being the class link with the school's affairs (Mrs. Salaber), and those of you who have participated silently....
As partners in the total education of your children, we work hand in hand with a common shared vision: facilitating learning, growth, and change among your students. We would like them to succeed in their goals and become a more self-directed life-long learner. So, please continue encouraging your child to be more thoughtful and careful in making good choices.
"When we all work together, we all win together."
