Willkommen!
Welcome German 10 students! Below are our vocabulary and notes for the Sabine und Michael units and chapters we have already had, plus new ones as they come up in class. Feel free to print them out, even if you haven't been absent from class. You will also find many games below to help you practice what we are learning/have learned in class. Occasionally, these will be assigned for homework. When this occurs, you will be required to log in, so that your progress can be recorded and monitored.

Homework due today: 20 words in your picture dictionary from G-6-3 & G-6-4.
Homework due tomorrow: G6 Worksheet 4 & Tagebuch entry: minimum 50 words on the theme: "Sie wissen nicht, wo mich der Schuh drückt." Literally translated, this means, "You don't know where the shoe presses me." Which means essentially, "you don't know what I'm going through."

Quiz today on the last two pages of the travel section of the High Frequency German Regents Vocabulary packet.
The quiz on the Materials page of the same packet will be on Thursday, 16 Feb due to Friday's Respect Day activities. Please add the word die Baumwolle, -n -- cotton to this list! Cards for this page have already been created on Quizlet.com. Just type my username, thutson, in the search box to find them.

Catching up...After completing G-6-1, we took a break for a while to begin learning German's Conversational Past Tense in preparation for the National German Exam and our own curriculum. Now we're back to Sabine und Michael, with the G-6-3 quiz tomorrow. (Don't forget that the last section of the Travel section of the Special High Frequency German Regents Vocabulary packet will be quizzed on Friday!)

For the last two weeks, we have been working on Sabine und Michael G-5-6 and G-5-7 in addition to getting some National German Exam practice in as well. My apologies for the late update, especially to those of you who have been absent for a while!

In addition to the regular Sabine und Michael course work, we are also now studying special, high-frequency Regents Exam vocabulary, sorted by topic. Right now, you are to be working on memorizing (both from German to English and English to German, including correct articles and plural formations) the first topic of the packet, titled "Meals".
