Welcome to A Level mathematics! This online course is designed to prepare you for exam 9709 Mechanics. The course textbook is Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics: Mechanics (CUP). The lesson plans below reference the recommended questions to complete for each section of the textbook, linked to relevant examples from the text.

If you are an independent student, you can use the lesson plans as a study guide; I have identified practice questions for each section, matched to relevant textbook examples. Each lesson plan contains four lessons, estimated time one hour per lesson. For both independent and Cambridge school students, you will be able to participate in live past paper review sessions via Zoom and to complete chapter quizzes to check your understanding of relevant concepts.

The course will run 11 January 2021 to 23 April 2021 (15 weeks, subject to revision based on date of May/June 9709 Mechanics exam).

Zoom meetings for past papers review are:
Monday 1 March 2021 and Monday 19 April 2021
All meeting times 330pm Dubai time/5PM India time/730pm China time; duration two hours.

During these meetings, we will review all questions from November 2020, June 2020 and March 2020 papers 42. Additionally, the videos below provide a complete review of the specimen paper for the 2020 exam series. Please feel free to post questions and comments to the YouTube videos and I will reply.

We will have an introductory Zoom meeting on Monday 11 January 2021, 330pm Dubai time/5PM India time/730pm China time, duration 30 minutes.
